With 170,000 extra hotels, a faster search, improved UX, real-time price comparisons and the option for consumers to choose between a one-time fee and an annual subscription, the rebranded Staybonanza.com offers users significantly reduced prices on booking accommodation over and above what is available from any other online platform. We don’t charge commission, and in return we ask our accommodation providers to give us their lowest prices plus extra incentives so that consumers don’t need to go anywhere else. The high commissions charged by the leading OTAs have driven up the prices for consumers and squeezed margins for accommodation providers. By using dynamic intelligent marketing coupled with competitive pricing analysis, we will be able to communicate our advantageous pricing, targeting consumers directly through the lowest-cost channel and giving us a considerable cost competitive edge. Our revenue will come from charging a service fee per booking or offering an annual membership that will cover all bookings and provide integrated affiliate services, most of which will offer a similar pricing advantage and adding a margin for Stay Bonanza. The core focus is to sidestep high commissions and the marketing monopoly of incumbent OTAs in order to compete with their customer reach while lowering costs to the industry. Initially positioned as Hotel Bonanza and a low commission model, we have evolved into removing that cost entirely to be able to guarantee the lowest prices for the consumer. With nearly £250k raised in this funding round, we would like to overfund by another £250k so that we have time to build up traction before the next fundraising round.
